Not sure what to say here. I just completed my profile, and don't want to say a bunch of the same stuff here, so I'll just say howdy.
I'm an dieting retread, having tried a bunch of things, lost hundreds of pounds, but I always seem to adept at finding them again. I'm hoping to be more absent minded about where I've left them this time around :-).
I'll be attempting to do Atikins. My most recent experience, about a year and a half ago, was with Atkings, and I had some really good success, both weight and health wise. Until a dessert---well y'all probably know what happens after those 3 words!!!!!
I look forward to meeting with and learing from some of y'all, and hope y'all enjoy meeting with, and possibly even learning from, me.

I think the most valuable help I got from MFP is the info and reading personal experiences in the forums as it gives a perspective and understanding that many people have similar issues, and knowledge in my face on how many calories different foods have. Be honest with your food diary and post everything so you can understand the patters in your eating habits, as well as see the actual calories. I was really surprised by the amount of calories in some foods which I was eating and thought they were healthy choices. I went yesterday at one of my favorite restaurants and the caloric total was 1793!, however, now I know and made sure that I both decreased the amount of calories in the other meals and increased my exercise for the day.0
