I have major OCD:noway: with my new lifestyle (started Jan 2010) and I bought my biggest loser scale which I love:heart: ! I find it hard (well not hard just tedious:angry: ) to add foods to my journal sometimes because alot of the food here is not listed by grams or ounces. I am starting to enter food into the database by weight in 100 grams - I am pulling the nutritional strictly from http://www.nutritiondata.com. I have found this be an excellent site. If anyone wants to contribute to this the Brand name I am using is (Food By Weight) . I hope this helps some of us crazies:tongue: out there.

I'm not nearly OCD enough when it comes to weighing my food. I just wanted to chime in here and say I love my Biggest Loser food scale too! They are great :)

My scale converts to grams, ounces, pounds, kilos...so I don't have that problem, but I can understand your frustration if that is all that your scale does.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Are you upset because some things are in mass (grams, ounces, pounds, kilograms) versus volume (cups, fluid ounces, quarts)?

I am not upset in anyway I just want to be as accurate as possible with my foods. I know it sounds a little loco but that is part of my charm  I have found that weighing them ( solid foods) is alot better than measuring them by volume.

I am SOOOOO with you, Ms Pixie. Gaah.gif

For over two years I have meticulously entered my foods. I enter mine in grams because it is so much more exact. Many of the foods are entered by Mike, and once you learn his way of entering, you can find his entries. All of his are entered with grams, ounces, (sometimes) by-the-piece or (for instance) carrots - -7 inch ones, 5 inch ones, etc.

I always try to find his, because I know that they are right.....but it is a frustrating process. Good luck with your "private" database. I have a lot of mine done sort of that way, too. But I make mine "unshared" so they don't clutter up the database. Like it could get more cluttered..
