It has been 14 months since I started losing weight. I started at 384 pounds after a medical crisis and started getting serious about losing weight. MFP shows my weight loss well after I started, so that number is not correct. I wish I had started with MFP but I did not get introduced to this wonderful site until September, 2012. My total weight loss to date (exactly 14 months) is 97 pounds. I now weigh 287 pounds! I have averaged 6.9 pounds per month over that time period (I had a length of time that I lost no weight, so I know how frustrating that can be!!!!!!) and I have averaged 1.6 pounds per week. I am very, VERY happy with the rate of my weight loss as it indicates that the changes I have made are life long. I am now jogging (can you believe that???!!!). I jog @35-40 minutes at a time without stopping five times a week. My goals are to do a 5K, 10K, and half marathon by the end of October this year. What a change 14 months can make in your life. It was rewarding to go through my closet and remove my 3XL shirts and replace them with 2XL. I am looking forward to the day that I wear XL! I wish all of you success in your weight loss journey and I hope that you appreciate all of the reasonable and reachable goals along the way! My son was pretty funny when he said, "Good job dad! Now go celebrate your achievement with more dieting and exercise!" I will do that, but I think I will also celebrate by getting me a really nice suit that fits!

:) It seems you have had quite the journey and are well on your way to goals which will turn into a sustainable and lifechanging lifestyle. I'm happy to have you as a MFP freind as you've been there, you're someone to look to as an inspiration, and you'll be able to provide valuable advice in my journey.

Good going and what you have accomplished is something to be proud of.
