Losing when working out

I have been at this since the beginning of the year and I am pleased with the progress that I have made. I understand that this is a process and the weight will not come off all at once. I have noticed though that when I work out on a regular basis, I am not lossing weight but as soon as I take a couple days off working out, I drop weight. Does this happen to anyone else. Does anyone have any ideas on what, if anything, I am doing correct/incorrect.

I thought it might be that I am not taking in enough calories (I was at 1200 a day eating back my calories) I have recently increased that to 1300. Does anyone else experience this. I will open my diary but please be gentle. I am slowing trying to eat cleaner and less processed food but I work full time, am starting my own business and am raising three teenagers so sometimes there is just not time. Also, I have had dental work in the last couple months that stops me from eating a lot of the foods I normally would (salad) I am trying to eat so that I can continue to follow a healthier lifestyle instead of just dieting.

Thanks for any help.

Also, please note that my eating the last five days is not normal. My daughter was competing at a three day volleyball tournament so it was a bad weekend for eating. We were constantly on the run and no outside food was allowed in the event. Please look back a little farther in the diary.

funny you posted this today, I started on 2/25/13 and today met with a personal trainer and I told her whenever I run or workout the scales is stuck or sometimes goes up...she reassured me it was my muscles responding and holding onto water...hope she is right

Muscles tend to hold water while repairing themselves, so if you have several days of rest they will release that water as they finish up that process.
