photoshopping venus to fit today's standards of beauty:
http://www.messynessychic.com/2012/05/18/venus-gets-photoshopped-before-after/
i found this blog post interesting. i do not believe in shaming any body type (slim or fat), but i did like comparing the visuals and it made me think more about how i felt about my own expectations.
your thoughts?

I don't see what's wrong with the original Venus. I would venture to guess her body is about a size 8 or so.... Maybe a 34B... Nothing wrong with that!
I recently read an article where men where shown one of the images before/after (I think it was Venus laying on the shell), and asked which they preferred, and the majority of them chose the original.
It's women, and our effed up self image issues that causes the fashion industry and 'society' to try to adopt unrealistic or 'cookie cutter' ideals. (IMO, of course.)0 -
Somewhere in the article it says the new venus takes away all sensuality , couldn't agree more , there's nothing unappealing about the original venus .0
