New and looking for encouragement and friends

HELLO! So i'm new around here and I'm looking to lose about 35 lbs this year. Its a tall order no doubt but my health is at risk and with a 10 month old at home- its important to get fit so that by the time she's running wild; mommy can keep up with her.

Its hard though- to keep on a diet and keep up with everything, and I'd really like some encouragement and a few friends to help with the new lifestyle I'm after (plus a body to be proud of)

  • Good evening. I just started my weight loss program today. I am hoping I can lose at least 60 pounds, its going to be hard for me but I can use all the help I can get.
    I am a full time student trying to get my degree in Business Management, and I have just put ME on hold. I got news last week if I don't change things NOW I will be taking meds for diabetes.
    I have 6 great reasons to want to lose weight. 3 of which live here I have some wonderful grandsons and I want to be able to play with them.

    Hello and welcome, I'm new also on my 3 rd week here. The hardest thing for me is planning my meals, it seems like im living on yogurt and protein shakes but now I'm looking and making planned recipes, I do the treadmill 5 days out of the week. I'm facing menopause and I've gained 43pounds in the past 6 months. I'm ashamed, embarrassed and can't believe how I've let myself go. I've never been successful with dieting because I never ate breakfast or lunch and when dinner rolled around I ate whatever I wanted and then binges on sweets. I'm learning what healthy foods are. I force myself to eat a yogurt and protein shake in the morning, then fruit and a sandwich with turkey and whole wheat bread & then my dinners are getting better. My snacks are usually fruits, or Carmel rice cakes or almonds. If you'd like to add me that would be great. From, tami
