Feeling discouraged

I started logging my food and exercise 3 weeks ago- I try to eat about 1300 or 1400 total calories every day, and I burn about 200 calories every day through exercise. For the most part, I have logged religiously and have met my calorie goals (except for maybe 3 or 4 days in the last 3 weeks). I didn't expect to lose much weight in that time period, but I actually GAINED five pounds! This was so unexpected to me. Does anybody have any ideas? I'm feeling really discouraged, especially because I was feeling great (physically and emotionally) about my food and exercise recently.

It could be lots of things, like water weight from salt or hormones...
One option would be to weigh & measure food logged this week just to double-check the accuracy of what you're recording. Outside of that, patience...0 -
