Hi -I read some scarry stuf on how extra weight affects your body on Healthy roads website. This is my 3rd week and so far this website and a new friend to excersize with have really helped.

my mom is 55 and by watching her calories (usually just estimating and making an effort not to indulge in her favorite: bread) and going for a brisk walk for about an hour a day with her new ipod, my mom has lost 19 lbs!
the weight just fell off initially and is now a pretty steady rate of 1.5-2 pounds every 2 weeks.
so congrats and know that other women have and are doing it with you!0
