Struggling to get back..best bit of advice to stay on track?

So here I am struggling since January I just feel like I have zero motivation.....I was doing so good on here last year I was down 37lbs and ive gained 8 of those back!!!! What is your best bit of advice to stick to it....right now its my eating im doing my workouts but then hitting the donuts and anything else carby I can find :(

    My best advice: Eat Clean - Get through the first two days

    Meaning: Focus on changing what you eat - the first two days of clean eating can be a struggle, but day 3 is when you start to feel different, more energy, less bloated and sluggish, and then it becomes a whole lot easier to choose the clean foods. I also thought that "eating clean" meant trading yummy food for plain, healthy, boring, non-yummy food - but I actually found that there's a ton of really great food out there that is clean and I love - you don't have to sacrifice good food to eat clean at all! :) Good luck!

    Do you have a set schedule? If not, make one. If you do, maybe it's time to mix it up. Add a new activity.

    How about signing up/planning for an even that you couldn't do in your current shape - maybe 6 months out. Things like:
    -half marathon in Cancun
    -Sprint Triathlon
    -A trip to Colorado to climb 5 14er's in 5 days
    -Slot canyon hiking in southern Utah
    -MS 150 Bike Ride

    I always have some event on the horizon that I'm training for, otherwise, I wouldn't be motivated.

    Diet wise - I like to carry a bag of fresh veggies to work every day (when I remember).

    Set goals with every milestone that you hit. Don't give up even if you do eat 20 donuts one day, it's not the end of the world but, it's time to start over. Don't ever let yourself pig out like that, you have more control over your cravings than you think. Log EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth. Don't guess about calories... know about calories and if you don't, take the most amount of calories stated.

    Eating clean means salads, fruits, vegetables, lean protein and no carbs or sugar. It's hard to get use to but, Oh my gosh when you do it a few days, your body will thank you!

    Wow all very adventerous for me I have 100lbs to lose but I get your point to have something in mind to work toward. Thanks

    Don't eat anything your great grandmother wouldn't recognize as food. "When you pick up that box of portable yogurt tubes, or eat something with 15 ingredients you can't pronounce, ask yourself, "What are those things doing there?" Pollan says.

    Don’t eat anything with more than five ingredients, or ingredients you can't pronounce.

    Stay out of the middle of the supermarket; shop on the perimeter of the store. Real food tends to be on the outer edge of the store near the loading docks, where it can be replaced with fresh foods when it goes bad.

    Don't eat anything that won't eventually rot. "There are exceptions -- honey -- but as a rule, things like Twinkies that never go bad aren't food," Pollan says.

    It is not just what you eat but how you eat. "Always leave the table a little hungry," Pollan says. "Many cultures have rules that you stop eating before you are full. In Japan, they say eat until you are four-fifths full. Islamic culture has a similar rule, and in German culture they say, 'Tie off the sack before it's full.'"

    Families traditionally ate together, around a table and not a TV, at regular meal times. It's a good tradition. Enjoy meals with the people you love. "Remember when eating between meals felt wrong?" Pollan asks.

    Don't buy food where you buy your gasoline. In the U.S., 20% of food is eaten in the car.

    That is a good quote....I don't eat that bad I am a vegetarian my meals are fairly healthy its just the snacking on donuts and muffins and I even make them myself so there are all natural ingredients in them. I buy organic as much as possible and I have never had a twinkie in my life. I do struggle to get my protein sometimes I just get fed up with the same foods all the time.
