Losing cm but not kg - advice?

Hello! This is my first post on this website, though I've been using my fitness pal for over a year.
Basically, after losing focus and being slack for 6 months, I started trying to lose weight at the start of February this year.
I've kept up a strict habit of exercising for an hour 5-6 days a week, and a calorie intake of 1400/day. I try my hardest to eat lots of protein and reduce my carbs and fat intake as much as I can.
However the scales have not shifted despite all my efforts and now I am losing all my motivation. I've lost cm off my waist and legs, but there is no visible difference in my size.
I need some advice to help me finally start seeing results! Is there anything more I could be doing? Am I just really impatient?
My only other option which I have not yet tried is the 5:2 fasting diet which I recently read about, but I'm not a particular fan of fasting.

Don't be impatient. You are just starting, A cm in a month is not too bad.0

Dont fast... your body gets tricked into thinking there is an upcoming famine and will start stockpiling fat cells.
If you're losing cm, you're obviously doing something right. Slow progress is better than no progress. I try to imagine my weight loss as an avalanche... starts with a few pieces of snow which eventually turns to a rush of snow down a mountain. The more fat you burn, the more muscle you build, the more muscle build, the more fat you burn.
Hang in there!0
