Decline Bench Press vs Bench Press

I tried out the Decline Bench Press (instead of the normal Bench Press). When doing so, I realized that I was lifting more on the Decline.
1. Is this normal?
2. If it is not normal, what's going on? Are my supporting muscles/arms weak and need to be improved?
Thanks!

(try) upping weight on the bench press next time. I usually do decline after I've done standard bench press, and by that time I've fatigued my chest to where I couldn't do as much on decline.
Eta: I don't think it's abnormal.0 -
shorter range of motion. Its normal to lift quite a bit more on decline.0
