Not New but calorie control has came to a hault!

Hi,
Not really new, I have been following MFP since last September and have lost 12lb so far, which isn't a massive loss I know.
I was doing well then ever since Xmas I've had problem after problem (NOT AN EXCUSE, yes yes!) and have just let things get out of hand. For some reason I cant stay under my 1200 calorie daily goal. I am still going to the gym and haven't put on any but just feel I'm failing and I know only I can fix that.
The thing is I feel my partner gets fed up with me saying 'oh too many calories in this, too many calories in that' and being out all the time at the gym so I have tried to forget it once a week so we can enjoy time together but we like take outs and a drink like anyone else so it's got alittle silly.
The next problem is we are going Skegness for a long weekend in 2 weeks so that will be another weekend off the wagon.
I know only I can fix this, I just wnated to get it off my chest. x
