If you go to 'exercise' at the top (next to My Home, Food etc) you can check the database and it'll tell you how many calories you can burn doing certain things. I think housework/cleaning is in there with different levels of exertion.

    Welcome, good luck :)

also, if you buy an exercise dvd, they're great to do if you're stuck at home. I've got a Yoga one which I do occasionally. Aaand I've got Davina McCall's Power of Three and the Ministry of Sound Pump It Up one. There's loads out there so I think it's just a matter of going on Play.com or Amazon and checking the reviews... or browsing MFP for reviews.

HI there, Sorry I cant provide any insight on what to do around the house apart from investing in a couple of workout DVD's, but welcome I am sure there will be others who can give you ideas.

i love working out at home. i do some zumba, some toning exercises like the plank, push ups, and butt toning then i do 2 biggest loser workouts that are 10 and 15 min and then some stretch yoga, you can look on line for a lot of ideas on workouts at home

Hello Annmariek, tip one stick to your new regimen of eating well & take everyday as that a day to stick to your regimen & in fast order a few days will turn out to a few weeks & puuf a big difference in appearance will be looking back at you in the mirror then all there is next is maintenance but one good thing is it will be that much easier, because you had to put in maybe a few months of work to get where you need/want to get to, so it will be a new lifestyle mastered. Which it really has to become a lifestyle change mentally above physically, but of course both would be optimal. Exercise can be accomplished anywhere you can walk back & forth or do step arobics, stationary bicycling, the possibilities are almost endless. Yes you can log in it in general household work, but put in a ton/ a lot/ heavy/ long/ hard. lol I'm not completely sure on the terminology, but once there it will be pie. Good Luck with your new & hopefully permanent lifestyle change.
