Anyone lose belly pouch by dropping carbs & sugar?

I keep trying things. This week I found something that worked for me. For 4 days I ate only vegetables, 2 servings of fruit and a protein shake. I lost an inch off my belly. Obviously I need more protein so I am adding it back in slowly. What I plan to continue to avoid are grains. For a long while (maybe a couple months then add it back little by little). I think that is what kept my belly looking and feeling so bloated. I can't promise the same for you. I just can offer my experience this week.0
