"Eat one thing only" diets are driving me crazy!

Why do those things never die? They just come up with new ones all the time.

How can someone ever think this is a good idea? And who makes them up?

Seemingly normal people somehow think they should give it a try. WHYYYYY?
Unless you are an infant there is no one food that can satisfy all your nutritional requirements.

Than, after trying a bunch of them, declare "I've tried everything" to loose weight.

    My son was on it when he was born. He gained weight! So there goes that theory :)

    It's ridiculous. No benefit whatsoever.

    Some people will try anything. My cousin, who is a fitness trainer, once posted an article on FB about a trend of people eating cotton balls. It supposedly filled up their stomachs enough so they wouldn't feel hungry. They were becoming ill and sometimes needed surgery to remove the cotton from their intestines. I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't. So dumb.
