THE BAD

So I have been training for my first 1/2 marathon since January. I was steadily losing weight and very happy about this. I have lost 50lbs in the past and these last 20lbs have been haunting me. In the beginning of march I quit losing weight and started to gain. To date, I have gained 6lbs, which made me quite upset, but I know the reason why i gained. I run a ton and cycle and EAT and EAT and EAT. Not good stuff either... I am talking about chocolate and pizza. No wonder I gained..

THE GOOD

Last year I ran my first 10k and finished in 1:07. I ran a 10k on Sunday and finsihed in 56:54! I cut off 10 mins! which is amazing. So yes this training has made me gain the 6lbs pounds I have lost, but I have set a new personal record, which makes me very happy. Next challenge is finishing the 1/2 marathon in 2:00 and under.

Awesome! Girl, you can do it! Just substitute your bad food with fruits and veggies to keep you full longer and you should drop those extra pounds. I can't wait to run a marathon! I've run two days in a row this week OUTSIDE and I'm quite proud of myself!!! Gonna make it #3 tonight!

That is amazing. I have started running and ran my first 5K this past Saturday in 31:22. I'm currently training to do a 10K in June.

Yea my problem is I am eating the fruits, vegetables and the chocolate and pizza, because those are my long run days. I am just soooo hungry, because i burn so much everyday. I crave the greesy food. I limited myself to pizza only on my 10-15 mile run days. I have gained a lot of muscle I can see in my legs, but my stomach is looking a little puffy. I have hypothyroidsim, which also slows my weight loss down. You would think running 20-30 miles every week and spinning two days a week and lifting 5 days I week I would be a size 2 but instead I gained.... but at least I'm fast! :)
