With practice you'll be hitting them all. It takes time.

For me, I consider Fat and Protein to be minimums, and Carbs to be maximums.

But then, I'm not on the MFP defaults.

    I reset to 45Fat, 30Carb, 25Protein.

Figure out what your goals are and research the best way to get there.

For me, at maintenance, it's important to feel full and happy. It took a while, but I meet almost all my nutrients using only food every day - no supplements.

There are only 3 macros...carbs/protein/fat. Things like fiber, sugar, etc are micro-nutrients. Generally speaking, if you properly manage those 3 macros and eat a balanced diet, everything else just naturally falls into place. As far as what to set those macros to, that really depends on specific goals (fitness and otherwise), medical conditions, medications, allergies, etc.

Mine are set to 40c/30p/30hf as this has resulted in drastic improvements in my blood work, including LDL cholesterol levels, HDL levels, blood sugar levels, and triglycerides. My numbers have improved on all fronts. It also happens to be a great macro for my fitness related goals.

The only micros I specifically watch are sodium and saturated fats for hypertension and cholesterol issues specifically. I also try to get most of my carbs from fruit, veg, and whole grain which makes the vast majority of my sugar intake to be from natural, whole foods (though I do like jelly beans).
