looking for a motivator

Hi, I am 32 years old. I weigh 156 and my goal is to be 135. I started my weight loss journey back in 2005. I weighed 225 at the time and I was miserable. I was able to get down to 175 and then I hit a standstill. No matter what diet or exercise changes I made, I couldn't lose anymore. Then in feburary of 2012, I found out I had a ulcer. I could barely eat. My diet consisted of hot tea and crackers as that was all I could keep down. Through that I got all the way down to 135. But then when things got better, I gained some of the weight back and I am back to 156. I have been going to the gym now twice a week for three weeks now. But to no avail I haven't lost anything. I know I shouldn't give up, but I need some help to stay on track.
