Hi :)
I'm trying to lose weight by counting calories and running.
Amost 40lbs to go!
Some extra motivation would be great. Add me!

I'm new here too. I've been walking and counting calories for 4 weeks and I've lost 11lbs

6'4" and 212 is a good weight. 170 would be skeletal.
My son is 17 and 6'4", about the same weight. He wants to gain some muscle.
    I'm 6' and I look scrawny at 170.

How did you come up with 170 as a goal weight?

The BMI calculator here tells me I'm overweight, and I don't really feel comfortable (mentally or physically), so I'm trying to go back to the weight I was before gaining. I don't work out, so it's just fat.

    chantelp89, congrats :)

Talk to a personal trainer who can help set reasonable goals.
Shifting, rather than losing would probably have a better outcome unless you plan to be a professional marathon runner.
