I don't do anything specific right now but cut calories. I realized I am starting to eat more processed meat than I should though, so I've been thinking of different diets. I am wondering, does anyone here purposely (not by default) do the Mediterranean or Greek diet (or have done it) and if so, what are your opinions on it?

I don't know of a specific diet plan, but being married to a Greek, I have had a lot of experience eating and cooking the food. Really, it's no different than the "clean" eating everyone talks about here: fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and healthy olive oil. They also eat a lot of pork (mmmm souvlaki) and lamb. The seasonings we use are usually olive oil, lemon, oregano, garlic, dill and basil.

Of course this doesn't take into account the awesome pastries, but you're probably not asking about those! :)
