Hi everyone,
With the free membership over on the Biggest Loser Club coming to an end I wanted to see if I could start up some sort of boot camp over here on this site.
I am very interested in motivating and being motivated to reach my goals.
The idea behind this boot camp is that we would have a spreadsheet where you track your individual progress and report in each day with your successes and or failures. The idea is that by sharing your experiences others can help or encourage you to reach your goals.
There will be weekly challenges that will help you excel at your weight loss.
If this sounds like something you would like to join please post to this thread and we will get it started.

Hi Tina,
Even though I dont have a lot to lose now, I would be interested in this, mainly to stay motivated to eat better and fit exercise into my daily life. Sometimes that can be a struggle. You can count me in if you will have me.0 -
Checking out the site here and comparing it to spark and BLC. Any tips as i make my way around here?
Also is there a way to subscribe to posts here?

What I have found is any topic you respond to will show up in "My topics" so you can easily get back to where you were.
I like this site because it syncs with FitBit, BodyMedia, and several other apps. I think if we can get something started over here it would be fun to be able to be friends with everyone and then access everything directly from the mobile app, where you can't do that on spark people.
It is just an idea. I have been trying to get myself back over to spark people to read the forums, as you might have seen I have already signed up for your group, but haven't taken the time to read through anything yet.
I am still debating on whether or not I want to pay for membership over at BL and also still hoping that they make the Forums FREE!

mjoel, sorry forgot your first name, we would love to have you. Right now we are still trying to work out the details of this challenge. I am not sure if you watch my podcast, but I mentioned on the last episode that I have been doing the Boot Camp over on Biggest Loser Club website. In the past it has really motivated me to stay on track and lose weight, but it was a paid for membership. In January they revamped the site and you could sign on for FREE. I was hoping that would last, but apparently as of March 18 they are cutting everyone off. We are still hopeful that the forums will be FREE, but doubtful. Which is why a few of us are trying to figure something else out. We want to stay in contact with everyone we have met over there, but not everyone wants, or is financially able, to pay for membership.
I will keep you informed as to what is decided. We use a spreadsheet over at Biggest Loser Club, and I would probably just revamp it a bit to work for us off site. It is quite extensive, but it gives you lots of points to track and ways to see if you are improving.
