Do you use a Heart Rate Monitor?

I have been working on my lifestyle change since Jan. 15, 2013, and have lost 17 lbs as of today 3-13-13. I just recently started working out. I would like to get a Heart Rate Monitor and was wondering if anyone uses one and what brand? I have looked ata couple in stores and online and would like to get a multipurpose one. Please let me know which one you have and how you like it.

I use the Polar FT4 - it's probably a fairly basic one but it really helps me out in my workouts and motivates me! I also chose this one as it wasn't too expensive, and came in pink! Totally recommend it. I don't think you can really go wrong with any Polar HRM.

I looked at a Polar FT4 after seeing it mentioned several times on MFP posts. I then read reviews online and didn't see many negatives. I like it. It does everything I need it to do and was super easy to set up. Duration of workout, min/max heart rate, calories burned. Plus I went all girly and it was available in pink:happy:

Another vote for the PT4. Mine's in silver if you don't wish to go down the girly route :)

No bells and whistles, but that suits me just fine.

I love my Polar FT4. If I had to do it over I would have gotten a Garmin but that's just because it would have synced up with my BMF. I really love my FT4. It's a great motivator, plus the other day when I was in a kickboxing class that I just couldn't get into (HR wasn't going above 140) I left and got a good sweat on the Arc Trainer. It kept me from wasting that hour of exercise time.
