I've been lurking for quite awhile, so I figure it's time for a real introduction. I'm a 37-year-old work from home female who has struggled with her weight for years. Weight related healthy issues have plagued my family, so I'm scared out of my mind about what is in store for me if I don't make the right changes now.
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have struggled even more since then. I don't whine about it though. It has forced me to try new things. I hate having to take medication, so I'm always trying to find the right combination of nutrition and exercise to combat the fibro. My biggest obstacle is the fact that I have ZERO discipline. This is completely unacceptable and needs to change PRONTO! I'm hoping to find some support and new ideas here.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Feel free to add me. I don't have fibromyalgia, but I've been doing this having to work around a bad knee, and with pretty good success so far. Always looking to help and be helped.0

hello. I have afreind that was diagnosed with ficro and lupis all in one shot. she is in the same boat as you. poor girl kept gaining and gaining weight. they kept switching her medications and that was also making here gain weight too. I was diagnosed with PCOS that also affects your weight. She saw me gain weight even when I was eating healthy and going to the gym. But later found out that I wasn't eating healthy enough.
My freind now goes to weight watchers (she has been for about 3 weeks now) she has lost amost 12 pounds in that 3 weeks. we swap recipes now, she gives me some weight watchers recipes and I give her diabetic recipes because a diabetic diet is a pretty good diet. It helps you lessen your carb intake and calories, etc...
people will tell you to try this and try that. that "this diet" will work for you. BUT your know everyone is different. I have tried sooooo many plans and they all didn't work. the one that worked for me is now I eat 5-6 times a day every 2 to 3 hours with small portions. the reason is because if you feel hungry then its too late, you want to keep yourself your body is pretty much starting to go into starvation mode. So you full yourself before you feel the hunger pains feed yourself so you can fuel your body (can jumpstart you metobolism).
add me as your friend and I can help with your new journey0 -
