How does everyone else count calories from strength training. I know there is no easy to calculate how much you burned so I haven't been including them, but I'm sure I burn when I lift.

enter it as "weightlifting" or "circuit training" under cardiovascular exercise. it gives you an estimate based on your body stats and then you can add or subtract depending on whether you thought you burned more or less. i lost 25 lbs on here by strictly accepting MFP's burn calcuations; so, while they are high sometimes, it's not the end of the world.0

Do you do that under the cardiovascular exercise area. I think I tried strength training area and actually put what I did but it didn't subtract any calories.0

Yeah, I search for 'Strength Training' under Cardio and add that0

You can also wear a heart rate monitor and it will tell you how many calories you burn during your strength training. It's what I do, because I don't always trust the calculations on this site (I like to be a bit more specific).0

For lifting heart rate monitors are inaccurate. I actually have one and use it for my cardio. Did some research and found out they can't calculate how much you are burning for strength training.0

Yes the HRM is very inaccurate when lifting. I still wear mine and log what it comes up with in that session. Fully aware of the afterburn for upto 24 hours later. How could your HRM possibly monitor that right? I also allow myself to eat a bit more on those days.0
