collagen supplement success/excess skin

I am dealing with excess skin after weight loss. I really am quite fit under all the skin, but I don't look like I feel. I drink plenty of water, and have recently begun weighted exercise (with adequate protein intake) to increase muscle. But I will never gain enough muscle to take up all that space under the extra skin. I've read a lot about collagen supplements working vs not working and what I'm learning is about the same thing you learn from any internet search - everyone has a different opinion. :) Does anyone have actual experience or success with taking collagen supplements?

    I take a collagen supplement but its for my joints. I can't comment on excess skin as I don't think mine is too bad just yet. I am losing slowly and using super firming body stuff every day.

    I must admit that the exercise is helping a bit for my stomach, but the loose skin still hangs when I bend forward. I dont think there is anything than will work 100% other that surgery.
