My husband and I have a low budget, but he always seems to want to buy unhealthy foods, mainly red meats which I am not suppose to be eating because of my FLD(fatty liver disease). I really am not a big fan of fish so that leaves chicken. does anyone have any good ideas on how to substitute chicken for beef without my husband realizing it. BTW low budget means I don't buy pre-ground chicken I buy the cheap on the bone stuff, skin it cook it and debone it myself. and I eat a lot of brown and white rice. I am starting to demand that he allows me to do the shopping so that I can plan the meals, but he usually wants his chicken fried, or shake and bake. if he cooks I have to fix something different for me, but if I cook he barley eats, and he hates the veggie burgers I buy. please help we have to find a middle ground healthy food without sacrificing taste.
