As I sit here eating weight control oatmeal and drinking my whey protein after finishing week 7 day 3 of C25K I got a story I'd like to share I'm not a writer so if I wonder off but i'll try and keep it short and to the point.

Well Back on 8/10/2012 i went to my first meeting for WLS then soon after that I went to my first dietitian meeting we talked about the process and its a long one it takes 6 months of dietitians meetings before I even met with the surgeon thats because of the way my insurance works.. Well the 6 months where going by and I started to work out. One of my goals was to be down to 280 before surgery I started at 319 surgery would taken place some time in july. Well 2 weeks ago I passed 280 you know what else happened at 280 my diabetes went away no more pills. I was Amazed at how far I have come and the the things that have started to happen. One reason to have WLS for me was to remove the diabetes which has great success . I have done my research on WLS I came to my decision to have WLS because my wife had it done she had Pcos and we tried for 6 years and she tried all types of diets and spent tons of money and time at a big university and with no luck so she looked into WLS and after a year she was down 90 lbs and now in August we are having are first kid. But for anyone thinking about WLS there can be huge complications for one another family member had it and had server internal bleeding afterwards and it was touch and go she's better now. I have nothing against it but remember its not the easy way out there can be major problems lots of pain not all physical its emotional to and it is permanent. DO Your research.

Well yesterday I had my meeting with my surgeon, met him for the first time what a guy. He wanted to know why I wanted WLS and he asked about my life how I got here and about my weight loss so far. After a 1hr meeting we came to a conclusion not to have WLS that it wasn't for me he praised me for what I have done. It was nice to talk to a Doctor that seemed to really care. Then after that I meet with a new dietitian and she was amazed and was asking me questions on how I made my decision and what works for me I told her all about MFP and the great friends I have on here and the willpower and dedication I have now.

I never thought I would come this far. I am no where close to my goal everyday is a struggle this is my new life style MFP is my new addiction. Things I have come to see. Its not about the scale and the number I have seen great health changes. Make sure you take measurements. Find a program thats works for you. Take pics I wish I did more of this. Get good and awesome friends on MFP that helps so much. Get into weight lift lifting It as helped me a lot I do a lot of cardio to. Muscle will eat fat. Get motivated find things that fear you things that will keep you going. Find out what your really numbers are I'll post a link on the bottom so you can figure this out. DO NOT starve yourself. Make your weight loss journey fun.

If you would like to friend me go right ahead. But I'm looking for friends that want to make a difference that want to make a change Im not afraid of deleting people. If your food diary log is locked I will not comment on your daily activities. I like to dish out motivation I like to help people keep the drive as it helps me to keep going. I hope someone got something out of reading this. I didn't write this to bash anyone for thinking of WLS or already having it done I have friends on here on both sides of the fences. Good luck on your loss and in life
