Yes I am struggling with the last 15 lbs (some would argue 20 even). I would love to hear everybody's advice.0

I'm in the same boat. I have roughly 15 pounds to get to my goal weight of 140 (SW 225). I run 5 to 6 days a week and have a hard time doing strength training and weights. I realize its important but I just don't get the same feeling out of that as I do the cardio. Also, I don't get many calories "back" from weight training. I'll do well with fitting weights in for a few weeks then it drops off because if I have to choose one over the other, I go with the Treadmill. I'm also having motivational issues with dragging myself onto the treadmill. I have always hated the darn thing but as I live in the northeast US, its cold and icy and snowing in the winter which isn't good for outdoor running. I'm still a novice only doing 2-4 miles at a time. I'm dying for spring and warmer weather hoping that will help the motivation too.
I did get a nice arm workout that I was doing for a while and just kept adding to it till I got up to 5lb weights to do it. I just have such a hard time sustaining weight training. not enough hours in the day..lol

I'm at the same place, I want to lose 15-20 more but I want to look good with no clothes on too so I want to tone! I realize that it'll probably take a little longer to reach that goal but what the heck..
I started adding p90x to my regular workouts, I do not follow the program but do upper body (shoulders & arms) once a week and lower body once a week, and I do their ab work out both times.
I started with 5lb weights for arms and now I'm lifting 20lbs. I can start to see my arms tone up, so I think my best advise is don't be afraid to use heavier weights, that's when you'll see results. And no, you will not look like a body builder0 -

Set your weekly weight loss goal at -0.5lbs .. you need a smaller deficit when you have less to lose.
Get some real weights. 3lb weights will do nothing.
You can't tone your muscles. You either lose muscle (which is normally done as you lose weight), retain muscle or build muscle. In order to build muscle you need to eat at a slight surplus, max out on protein and lift HEAVY weights. Those little 3lb weights won't do anything for you. You have to lift heavy enough where after about 8 reps you can't lift anything more.0 -
In the same boat, 5 pounds to make that dreaded BMI under 25 and then 10 more to be where I would like to be. I have MFP set for .9 pounds loss a week and 1290 calories which I go over on here and there. I am losing about 1 -2 pounds a month. I am considering just bumping up my calorie goal and decreasing the weight goal to 2 pounds a month. This may make the last 15 more livable. I have been very heavy for a very long time and if it takes a year to get the last 15 off it will probably be worth the wait.
I too, think summer and better weather will help. We are always active camping, playing and working outside. I am still using some weights to assist and am happy with the body shape I am ending up with.0
