Why no calories burned for strength training on mfp?

I'm new to this thing, but when I input my cardio, it calculates the calories; however, when I input my strength training it shows 0 calories burned. What gives. Typically, a person burns more calories weight lifting than running.

Use strength training under cardio section. Its not very accurate tho

There is also a weight lifting option under cardiovascular exercise, so I log my weight lifting under the cardio section as well.

Typically a person does not burn more calories lifting than running. There's a huge difference between raising your heart for an extended period of time doing cardio and lifting where your heart rate raised minimally (unless you are horribly out of shape).

Not knocking strength training at all. It's great, build muscle, get stronger, look better but if you're just looking for big calorie burns then lifting isn't the place to be.
