Whats in a cup?!

Hi

I live in the UK and a lot of the recipes on here have the measurement as a cup, whats a cup in UK measurements?

8 fluid ounces, or 237 ml if you're talking liquids. If you're talking volume (like a cup of flour), it gets confusing. In the US a cup is 16 tablespoons, but I'm pretty sure our tablespoon is smaller than yours.

That's for a US cup. A metric cup is 250ml
