Hi. My name is Kat. I'm in New South Wales Australia. I'm looking for any fitness buddies to add who are roughly in my time zone to interact with on a regular basis. It's a bit hard to talk to people on the other side of the world when they may be asleep when you are up and ready to share your experiences, and vice versa. Please feel free to say g'day or add me if you are a willing person ready to share your journey.
I'm currently doing my Bachelor of Science - Food Nutrition through Charles Sturt University so I can make more of a difference than just trying for change in my daughter's local school canteen of which I am the president and a shift volunteer, or banging on about good health habits on Facebook with limited interest or appreciation. I am widely read on nutrition, and I'll read the good books as well as the not so good to get a feel for what people are trying to put across in their take on health/fitness. I am a big follower of Tiffiny Hall, the tae kwon-do instructor you locals may have seen on Australia's Biggest Loser, and Emazon (Emma Barbato). I also have an interest in Ayurveda.
I have a mixed sports background that stretches right back to my primary school days and includes gymnastics, rowing, tai chi, yoga, meditation, athletics (the lot - running, high jump, long jump, etc etc), tae kwon-do and my haunting the local gyms.

I'm from a village in NSW an hour south of Sydney. I came to this site 4 weeks ago because I was interested in people's experience with the 5:2 approach to diet. Well I'm new here and living in Sydney.... I'm trying to get fit as it's coming into winter not smart but it's me..
