Eating and burning

Hello All,

I was just wonderng , is their a rule with eating and burning calories?
I mean is there a time frame you need to follow or what not ?

If I Didnt work out one day but did the next, does that matter?
Or does it have to be every single day after all your eating is done for the day then work out, burn whatever, and start again the next day? ...

I may sound like an idiot, But I am still new and learning.
