Weight Watchers vs MFP?

Basically if I was calorie counting on MFP and did not count fresh fruits and veggies (except for maybe starchy veggies), that IS Weight Watchers. But MFP is free. Am I right?
I wonder this because I was thinking of just doing that (not counting raw fruits and vegetables in my calories), to encourage myself to eat more of them. Would this work for weight loss?

I joined weight watchers MFP group and got all the info I needed to do it for free. Now I am doing weight watchers on MFP for free and hopefully will lose.0

The amount of points weight watchers gives you has fruit and veggies calculated in it (an estimate of what a person should eat). So technically they aren't free, just pre calculated. In order to make equivalent, you would need to track the calories on MFP. Here is what weight watchers had said about it:
"Are there situations when I need to count PointsPlus values for fruit?
No, not for fresh fruit. Yes, fruit does have calories, and it contains fiber and other nutrients. But we’re assuming that you’ll eat a certain amount of fresh and other unsweetened fruit (veggies, too) each day, and have taken that into account when giving you your daily PointsPlus Target."- http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=108831&sc=30020 -
Some Weight Watchers products have hidden trans fats (hydrogenated oils) and that was enough to turn me off from the whole thing. I'm not saying I eat perfectly, but I refuse to give my money to a program that advertises themselves to be a way to get healthy, and then turn around and sell products that could do more harm than good.
MFP works and it's free. 'Nuff said.0
