Same amount of calories added as fitness has burned

Why do they add the same amount of calories to my daily goal as burned during fitness? This really bothers me because wouldn't it be easier to just not exercise?

The amount of calories that MFP initially gives you already has a calorie deficit included, so it adds back the exercise calories so you are giving your body enough fuel and not eating at an unreasonably large deficit.

Sure, it would be easier not to work out. You would lose pounds not working out. But you would also be giving up all the health and fitness benefits of exercise. Focus on exercise as a way to improve what your body can do and a way to improve your overall health, not just a tool for burning calories.

Makes sense. So I don't lose too much, too fast. Also the exercise might help me with a quicker metabolism and not have loose skin
