Eating back calories - Accuracy?

hello all,

i was wondering for those that eat back all their calories, has this worked and does it continue to work? Mainly because i find that the MFP calculator to be slightly off. Take running, for example. The treadmill will give me one set of calories burned, MFP another, other websites another. What about weight lifting? If i type in 25 minutes, does this mean i've been continuously lifting for 25 minutes or the time i start to the time i finish. I'm thinking of going with eating half my calories back, but it's a little confusing...

I eat at least part back. I am struggling with the variation of calories too. I consistently lose weight every week. I think the most important thing is finding your TDEE so you are eating the right amount of calories in the first place. I have my daily goal set to 80% of my TDEE. Then I eat about half of my calories back. It works better then the 1200 calorie diet for sure.

Yeah, i guess the best thing to do is to see how your weight is going. I'm set to lose 2lbs a week, but i logged 90 minutes of football (soccer) and there was no way i burned that many calories. I think i will stick with eating half back and see how i get on.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm feel like I'm eating way too much eating back the calories. I'd love to have others weigh in (no pun intended) on this topic that have been eating them back vs not eating them back.
