I have been struggling lately. In the first 3 months of my efforts I dropped a quick 25 pounds, but now I've been gaining and losing the same 5 pounds back and forth for the past 6 weeks or so.

Anyone else having the same problem? Advice?

sounds like a plateau. Try changing up your exercise routine and/or strength training routine...maybe both. Watch your diet carefully and reevaluate what your taking in and what you're burning.

i've been having the same problem since november -- basically the plateau from hell. i lost 30 pounds, then i stopped and have been oscillating back and forth between the same 3 pounds or so, up and down. i did change my exercise routine, but i've lost most of my willpower regarding the diet. i'm even considering just stopping even though i am still shy 13 pounds of my goal weight. the plateau is both physical and psychological, it seems, as i'm just not as motivated as i used to be.

I have been up and down working on 5 lbs for 8 months! I get to 146 then I go back up to 150. It is crazy, I don't know if it is going to help but I just started making a calorie burn goal of 3500 per week. This is my second week working on that. Last weigh in I was 147 so I guess I will see how it all works out on the scale Friday. I really want to be at my goal by the end of July for my vaca trip to San Diego. I am so close to my goal I can smell it! Oh wait, that is the food from my co-workers cubi wafting over!
