Hello hello!

Hi, all!

I am a 30-something mama who recently started (two months ago) a raw vegan diet. I am in the health profession (licensed massotherapist) and love all things health-related, but was shackled by a horrible sweet tooth. I am excited to work on improving my health and to meet new friends for encouragement.

I completely respect the food choices of others, so please don't be afraid to chat with me because you are worried I am a judgmental non-meat eater! I suffer from one debilitating autoimmune disease, as well as two other medical conditions. After trying many, many things (from medication to various dietary changes), a raw vegan diet is what has finally worked for me. :) I wish health and happiness for you all, too! Our bodies are all different.

So, you might wonder why I am here if I sound so healthy right now. I really need some encouragement in the weight loss area of things. I have about 28 lbs. to lose for me to be at my healthy goal weight. The stresses of mamahood, depression, and that sweet tooth are difficult obstacles. They aren't insurmountable, though! But the one element I am missing is the social one, so here I am.

Anyway, I am happy to be here!

You can add me if you like. My wife and I do green smoothies and have been trying (unsuccessfully) to switch over to a 60-80% raw diet.

That's great what you're doing with your nutrition? I've been off-and-on vegan for a while, trying to figure out what works best for my body. Haven't tried full raw though, that's cool!
