How to get Natural Energy?!?

I have given up soda and coffee and I am looking for ways to boost my energy during the day. My schedule does not allow me to work out in the mornings during the week and can only do it at night. I am looking for ways to increase my energy during my mid morning slump. Any ideas???

    A banana usually perks me up. (Er, that sounded a bit weird...LOL) Protein seems to help a lot of people around here, too.

    I agree with PP regarding the protein. And I usually get a fresh cold bottle of water right after my shower to give me a little pick me up until breakfast kicks in.
