I recently purchased a Living Social deal for semi-private Pilates lessons; I am completely new to Pilates so I decided to purchase 5 private lessons and complete those before moving on to the group classes. Well, I just had my first private lesson and really liked it but there seems to be so much to learn and remember. I hope it all clicks by the 5th session...has anyone else felt overwhelmed by the learning curve of Pilates?

Yes - Pilates definitely does have a learning curve. I took mat Pilates for many years until I switch to the Reformer and when I started I felt like a clumsy fool.

You'll learn and you'll get there!

And there are just exercises that you are never going to be your favorite. My teacher still corrects me and challenges me on exercises that I've done for YEARS!

    Good luck!
