Afternoon hunger

This is my trouble area. I have the afternoon (to early evening) hunger. Because of my work schedule, I can't always schedule meals regularly. I end up getting so hungry that I just eat the first carby thing I think of, which is pretty much never anything healthy. I know snacks like celery sticks and things are healthy options, but if I'm hungry, that isn't going to cut it. Nuts are great too, but the calories...ugh. Anyone have suggestions?? Please help me out! I just wasted 200 calories on cookies
