Work outs for people with sore achilles tendons?

My achilles is sore... I bought some new shoe inserts today, and I'm going to vary my cardio workouts more, so hopefully that'll help. I also have a standing desk because I know that burns more calories, but I guess once the soreness is all gone I'll be standing at my desk while wearing good shoes rather than being barefoot.

Anyway, to the point: I have a sore achilles tendon and I don't want it to get worse! I don't have access to a pool and the only workout machines I have access to are the elliptical (which helped, I believe, to cause my injury), the treadmill and the stationary bike. I tried some chair aerobics this morning, as well as shadowboxing, and didn't break a sweat. I'd really love some suggestions that will burn a lot of calories, ha. Ideas?
