Quick question- I recently started exercising, and I may have over done it. I tried to run as much as possible the other day at the park, then later on that night, I walked more on the treadmill. Two days later, I feel like my leg muscles are balled up, and feel as though my legs are going to lock. Should I walk it off? And how long would you recommend I should wait to start the running process again? Thanks for all replies.

Are you stretching? My muscles get really tight when I don't stretch enough.0

take a hot bath or shower, then stretch. It seems to relax my muscles
Also, after a hard workout like you had the other day, it helps me to not sit at a desk right afterwards. Keep your legs elevated and stretched out and it'll help them not lock0 -
Sounds like I need to stretch more, because I don't think I did stretch much. I'll definitely remember to do so next time!0

You need to warm up and stretch before EVERY run. Take a day of rest and then get back to it.0
