Increasing my calories?

I've been on a low calorie diet for the past 3 months. I've upped my intake from being at 400 (for almost a month), to 400 MORE calories starting 3 days ago. I thought I was just adding 300, but it turns out I miscounted my calories. Is this too much in such a short time? I wanted to increase it by 200 each week, but should I wait now?
