This is long overdue and I'm never good at introductions, but here it goes.

I've been using MFP since early December (I think). I hit my all-time high weight around last April-May, and for the past few months have really been trying hard to work on fitness goals. Recently I started jogging (mostly on the treadmill) and want to complete a Zombie Run (among other 5k's) hopefully by the end of summer or early next year. My total weigh-loss goal is 147 pounds, and I know it can be done.

Getting a little more personal, just over a year ago I went through a difficult break-up and completely fell off the wagon. That is when I hit my highest weight ever. I was always kinda shy, but now my "shyness" has gone to extreme levels (which is probably why I avoided the message boards for so long). So, in a way, typing this lame intro is a step forward. I'm not at an ideal spot in my life right now, but hopefully I have seen rock bottom and am climbing out of the ditch (and my parents house!)

I'm hoping that through this "life-style changing" journey that I gain some self-confidence. Lately, I've been doing a lot of hiking and even though the woods make me nervous, it's amazingly tranquil walking on a trail and being on a ledge looking at an amazing view.
