Magnesium supplements and chocolate cravings

I read a couple of nights ago that if you are craving chocolate your body is really wanting more magnesium. I find I crave chocolate intensely after a couple of days of working out, so I tried popping a magnesium supplement when the craving hit today and it worked! I'm not sure if it was mind-over-matter, but I didn't find myself gorging on chocolate.

Has anyone else heard of this remedy to stifle chocolate cravings? Any other suggestions on taming a sweet tooth?

I've heard of it but I don't know if I believe it....I take magnesium tablets everyday and I still have a good chocolate craving at least once a week.

I soak in a bath with Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) once or twice a week. The magnesium is absorbed through the skin and it gets rid of any muscle soreness I have too!

I noticed Epsom salt baths really help when my body is aching, too. I'll have to keep up with the magnesium supplements to see if they'll help long term with chocolate cravings.
