Same thing for me right now. I have binged the last few days which makes a vicious cycle as then I do not get to the gym as I feel so bad, and end up sleeping longer, and it does seem utterly ridiculous to feel this bad, to know it feels so bad, yet to repeat the process again and again; memory obviously does not serve me well enough. I feel like a failure if I have to keep my home clear of everything with sugar, because others seem able to control themselves and have a portion. I keep trying and failing to learn to keep these foods around and learn moderation because I feel I am taking the easy road out f I just use avoidance,
But I am concluding this is just the way I am made, and I will have to stick to either just having treats while out, in a portion, or making healthier options which at least are free of the refined sugar etc. I have noted this forum makes it worse. Most of my binges, ironically, occur when sitting reading this forum, or watching diet programmes. Probably because I find myself starting to think, I must cut this out, I better cut that out, I need to eat clean from tomorrow, this is bad, that is bad, blah blah.
Exercise is the only thing that ever gets me out of binge mode, or sleeping all day so I do not get up and buy more food and can allow everything to calm down.0 -
Looking it up on almighty google and it is saying to allow small portions of the food you binge on a few times a week it makes since to me better than binging and purging all the time right?0

This website has been life changing for many people struggling with this.

She also has a book, I highly recommend it.0 -
I try to avoid having "binge" foods in the house in the first place. For me that's frozen pizza, peanut butter, etc. While it would be nice if I could indulge every once in a while in moderation, I just can't right now.
I've also been carrying a small notebook that fits in my pocket with me everywhere. Anytime I feel like binging, or throwing out a meal, etc, I stop, take a breath, and write my feelings. I try to get to the bottom of what specifically I'm feeling - yeah, I want to binge, but WHY?
I recommend keeping a journal like that of some kind, and not to beat yourself up too much about it. You will slip up - we all do - but you're not going to quit.
You can do this.0 -

Well looking at your food diary, you have 1000 remaining calories one day, 800 another, 400. This is not good. You are not eating some days at all during the day. (Maybe you did not log) but if you do have a sweet tooth then you have to eat at least 5-6 times a day. With this you will binge after a week of bening “good”. I have done this emotional eating thing and you just have to balance you food intake during the day better.
Hope tomorrow will be better for you :flowerforyou:0 -
That makes since but i dont have time to eat that often i really wish i could it would make my life so much easier i dont keep it in the house but work is killer0

Don't give up. I feel your pain. My binging is the late afternoon when i get to sit down and take a break from a busy day. I don't crazy binge, but enough to blow my calories. It's hard because i love breads and cereals. I have gotten better with my choices i eat and it is keeping the calories down. Will definitely check out the website mentioned above.0

I'm right there with you.
Keep trying. Check out the website Barbellerella suggested.
We can stop bingeing, I know it.
Praying for you. :flowerforyou:0 -
I will look at it for sure0

I definitely have that same problem! My psychologist says i have a choice. Either to eat or not. Mmmmm! I'm not so sure about that.
I also over eat because of emotional reasons. That I'm sure of.
I feel your pain.0
