Building muscle/losing fat evenly

Hey guys,

Okay so my right side is toning up a lot faster than my left side, I try to workout my left more than my right, but it doesn't really help.

I would like to hear from people with injuries to the one side of their bodies on what they do to "match". My boyfriend has an injury on his one side so you can see his legs don't really match up. Its difficult for him to workout the thinner leg (his aim is to get bigger more muscular than he currently is) due to the injury. Any suggestions for him?

As for me I can see my uhm biceps not being quite even, but people won't really notice until I flex. I think I could just continue doing more on my one side since I'm able to, but more curious to know what he can do?
