3 lb weight loss overnight from being sick? TMI maybe?

I lost a little over 20 lbs a few months ago and then suddenly plateaued at 155 lbs despite sticking to my diet and exercise. It's been almost two months of my weight not budging. I've tried mixing up my workout routine, including strength training and the 30 day shred. I tried changing my calories to my TDEE as some people suggested. I tried lowering my calories a bit but nothing seemed to work. As of my last weigh in on Tuesday I was STILL 155 lbs.
Then I got sick last night. I don't know if I ate something that didn't sit well with me or what but I spent the majority of my night in the bathroom with my body completely evacuating everything it seemed. And no I'm not talking about throwing up, Ugh. (TMI I know, SORRY) Though I was incredibly nauseous and light headed all night. It was pretty miserable but this morning I was shocked to discover that I had lost almost 3 lbs and am 152 lbs today.
My question is, do you think my hard work and perseverance over the last couple months finally start to pay off? I've heard some people refer to something called a "whoosh"? Where they suddenly lose weight very quickly after not loosing for a while though I don't recall anyone saying that it made them sick and I realize that the legitimacy of these claims is highly disputed in these forums.. Or is it possible to loose 3 lbs overnight from just being sick? In which case should I expect those 3 lbs to creep back on as soon as I start feeling well enough to eat like normal? So far its only been chicken broth today. I want to be super excited that I may have FINALLY broken my plateau but I don't want to get my hopes up if it was only temporary from being sick. I know only time will tell since no one can predict what my body will do but I was just curious what some of you thought?

I'd guess it's water weight due to being dehydrated.0

Bring your cal intake down by 100 - 200 cals per day either by eating less or doing more exercise. If you do that you WILL lose the weight.0 -
The weight loss is probably from the "evacuation." It happened to me a few weeks ago. I lost 2.5 pounds in 2 hours (yes I weighed myself before and after.) Throughout the course of being sick, I lost 4.5 pounds. I did expect that it would come back, since I was very dehydrated. For my next three weigh ins, the weight didn't come back, but I didn't lose anything either.0

I'm kinda thinking this may be the case as well though some little hopeful part of me REALLY wants to believe that my hard earned weight loss has just so happened to coincide with me being sick and that the last couple months hasn't gone completely unrewarded. And no, before anyone says it, my measurements or shape hasn't changed either. Just been stuck. Blah.
BTW, Love your pic. I'm a pitbull mom myself0 -
My guess is water weight as well...Sometimes I weigh myself before a workout and than again afterwards and I have lost up to 2lbs just during a workout because of sweating. It's kind of amazing how it all works. I'm hoping you don't gain the weight back! I've got my fingers crossed for you!0
