Almonds vs. Almond Milk

HOW are almonds so high in calores & fat, yet almond milk is low (unsweetened) ?

Do they extract the fat from the almonds to make the almond milk, just like they do in bell planation peanut butter?

This has always confused me .. lol :)

Almond milk is smashed almonds mixed with water so it greatly dilutes the "nut" portion of calories and fats.

And it is often almond water with sugar added, as I found. The Alpro one I have is only 2% almonds. It is low calorie, but not much good nutritionally.

delicious to cook oatmeal in, though. thats how i use it. just to add more creaminess. i add other things for nutritional value.

Almond milk is gross. Hemp milk is where it's at.
