Want to lose weight and walk/run dog more frequently in MN

I'm Tina and I am new to "Myfitnesspal". I need all the support I can get and you all can muster. Food is something I dread but enjoy making for others. I hate trying to squeeze in a certain amount of calories which is usually my downfall because I over think it and end up skipping out on major calories per day. Then of course eventually I'll go on a sugar binge which just keeps up the cycle of fat in my life. Anyone else struggle with this? I love healthy foods but am in the minority in my house with 2 kids and a hubby who loves fried chicken. They will eat some other things but think for the most part that I am weird with my obsession with grains and vegetables then my favorite food group cake.... LOL

I need help and am not too scared anymore to ask. How do you all get through your day with the eating portion of it NOT getting your down or stressed? FYI I am a busy stay at home mom who dabbles with a design business.
